The Airport Health Club's Pain and Performance Clinic

Our approach is to use integrated techniques to solve your issues, and get you back functioning as soon as possible. The Club has 4  Manual Therapists Gwen Miller Hendrickson Method, anneh [at] airportclub [dot] com (Anne Henderson) Active Release Technique (A.R.T.) and Fascial Stretch Therapists Jordan Smith and colling [at] airportclub [dot] com (Collin Giddings) to help you with soft tissue concerns.  Jordan is also a Clinical Kinesiologist and Movement Therapist. Our Services

Manual Therapy:

1. Hendrickson Method®

Soft tissue manipulation, joint mobilization and muscle energy techniques used to restore optimal orthopedic function. A pain free, deeply relaxing and restorative technique that helps to  increase joint range of motion, circulation, dissolve scar tissue and reduce or removes pain. 2.  Stretch Rx - Fascial Stretch Therapy

A sequence of assisted, dynamic, neuro-kinetic stretches that engage the entire myofascial system by targeting muscles, as well as their neighboring joints, ligaments, tendons and bones. This technique is gentle, pain-free and focuses on unwinding the fascia to reduce the pressure between joints, improve posture, muscle function and allow your body to move with less restriction.  You can book with Jordan at jordans [at] airportclub [dot] com 707-331-3145 or through the website below.

3. A.R.T. - Active Release Techniques

A.R.T. is a movement based manual therapy technique that treats soft tissue conditions frequently cause by overuse. A.R.T. helps eliminate adhesions in the body that reduce mobility and strength. Anne only (anneh [at] airportclub [dot] com)


Intergrated Therapy:

This is a blend of either Hendrickson Method or Active Release Techniques or stretch Rx manual therapy administered in the same session with other therapeutic modalities (for example Pilates, Yoga, Restorative Movement, Corrective Exercise). Integrated Therapy can be helpful for common orthopedic and spinal conditions such as osteoporosis, scoliosis, stenosis/disc issues and osteoporosis. as well as optimizing performance in the athlete.


Kinesiology Assessment:

Through a 3 dimensional observation of whole boday movement, the assessment evaluates your joint function and tissue health, as well as helps to identify movement patterns and markers of movement inefficiency.


Therapeutic Yoga:

This addresses a variety of conditions like anxiety, arthritis, back pain, fibromyalgia, insomnia and neck pain. You will do specific poses for your acute or chronic physical aches. Gwen Miller only and Cherie Tung only.


Pediatric Occupational Therapy:

Occupational Therapy assists children in gaining the skills and confidence they need in order to perform the many occupations (activities of daily living) of childhood, such as dressing independently, riding a bike, completing school work and socializing with friends. Occupational Therapy addresses difficulties with attention, learning, coordination, postural stability, motor planning, fine motor skills, emotional regulation and visual processing. Music, rhythm, therapeutic story-telling and resilience training are included in the therapeutic process. Paula Smith only.
