The Airport Health Club's Pain and Performance Clinic

The Club has 2 Manual Therapists, Julian Corwin and  Gwen Miller to help you with soft tissue concerns. Our approach is to use integrated techniques to solve your issues, and get you back functioning as soon as possible. We also have 2 Chiropractors, Dr. Bria Iacini D.C. and Dr. Mathew Mutch, D.C. Our Services:

1. A.R.T. Integrated Therapy Sessions

They can include all or one of the following techniques depending on the client's needs.

  • ART - Active Release Technique
  • NKT - Neurokinetic Therapy
  • Athletic Taping
  • P-DTR - Proprioceptive Deep Tendon Reflex

2. Hendrickson Method® Sessions

This is a unique combination of three techniques designed to bring about optimum results in treating orthopedic conditions: soft tissue manipulation called Wave Mobilization®, joint mobilization and muscle energy technique. This can increase joint range of motion, circulation and lubrication, dissolve scar tissue, reduce pain and can restore optimal orthopedic function. 3. Chiropractic Care

Matthew and Bria will both be onsite to help you with any chiropractic care needs. A natural, holistic approach helping you perform to your highest potential, and enabling your body to meet the challenges of training. Whether your goal is racing endurance events, strength training, injury prevention/management or simply reaching wellness goal. Discover how chiropractic can help. 4.  Stretch Rx - Fascial Stretch Therapy

This is a form of assisted stretch therapy that can increase your flexibility, reduce aches and pains and improve your range of motion while making your workouts more effective. FST engages the entire myofascial system by targeting muscles as well as their neighboring joints, ligaments, tendons and bones. 5.  Kinesiology Assessments

Jordan Smith will evaluate joint function and tissue health, as well as help identify movement patterns and markers of movement inefficiency that may be reducing the ability of your nervous system to do its job effectively. 6.   Movement Therapy

Hands-on, individualized exercise designed to re-establish the health of your joints, improve movement quality and retrain your movement patterns to prepare your body for accepting the demands placed on it in your occupational, sport and lifestyle activities. 7.  Cold Laser Therapy

Matthew and Bria can perform cold laser therapy. It is an FDA approved, conservative approach to treating many different injuries from neck and shoulder pain to plantar fascitis. Cold laser does not generate heat, it manages pain, inflammation and tissue healing as a safe alternative to medications or surgery. 8. Anatomy in Motion

AiM informs practitioners and patients of the importance of the foot in human locomotion. Foot and whole body exercises quickly result in long term and permanent changes that reduce pain and increase performance. Julian only.

9. Pilates Integrated Therapy

Pilates-based movement session combined with manual and functional therapy. The purpose is to rehabilitate poor movement patterns through precision, control, core and breath-based exercise.  Gwen only.

10. Strength Integrated Therapy

Strength-base movement session combined with manual and functional therapy. Gwen only.

11. Therapeutic Yoga

This addresses a variety of conditions like anxiety, arthritis, back pain, fibromyalgia, insomnia and neck pain. You will do specific poses for your acute or chronic physical aches. 12. Scoliosis Integrated Therapy

13.  Intergrated Therapy

This is a blend of Hendrickson Method, orthopedic manual therapy administered in the same session with other therapeutic modalities (for example Pilates, Yoga, corrective exercise, stretching). Integrated Therapy can be helpful for conditions such as osteoporosis, scoliosis, stenosis, disc issues and other common orthopedic concerns and spinal conditions.
